I HOLD ONTO HOPE AND LOVE.... I HOLD THEM CLOSE TO MY HEART AND SOUL ALWAYS
I hold onto hope and love ... I hold them close to my heart and soul always.
This is our family's story ...
I need to share our story because as someone who lived with infertility & secondary infertility for 10 very long years, my heart & soul goes out to women living with infertility, sub-fertility, pregnancy loss & women who are living the extremely lonely journey that is IVF.
Why share this story? Well, today, we are counting our blessings ... we are wishing our darling Alexandra a very happy birthday!
Our little, IVF miracle, our beautiful baby girl turns 2 today! Such a sweet, sensitive, cuddly, petite, pixie-girl. She lights up our life and we are so very blessed and grateful to have her in our lives! Alexandra completes our family and fills our hearts. When I look at our mischievous-monkey of a toddler, I cannot believe the journey we had to have her in our lives.
Every day I thank God, the Universe and the eternal love that is our extended family and friends for our children.
5 Easy Steps to Transform Stress into Energy and Better Health with Heart-Focused Breathing
5 EASY STEPS TO TRANSFORM YOUR STRESS INTO MORE ENERGY & BETTER HEALTH:
The HeartMath Institute advocates Heart-focused Breathing to improve your health & change your life:
"Heart-focused breathing is about directing your attention to the heart area and breathing a little more deeply than normal.
1. As you breathe in, imagine you are doing so through your heart, and, as you breathe out, imagine it is through your heart.
2. In the beginning, placing your hand over your heart as you breathe can help you in directing your focus to your heart.
3. Typically, HeartMath recommends that you breathe in about 5 to 6 seconds and breathe out 5 to 6 seconds.
4. Be sure your breathing is smooth, unforced and comfortable. Although this is not difficult to do, it may take a little time to become used to it, but eventually you will establish your own natural rhythm.
5. Heart-focused breathing won’t take a lot of time out of your day, but it can add lots of benefits to your life".

CHOCOLATE BLISS for CHOCOHOLIC MAMAS!
Hi there end-of-school-term mums & dads,
When you're tired or stressed do you, like me, reach for chocolate?
My husband, Andrew, will tell you that I am definitely a self-confessed chocoholic!
We are near the end of yet another super busy school term, which means that I am weary and I find that I am looking for my chocolate fix each day.
As a tired mum, of 3 kids, I have found that these healthy Chocolate Bliss Balls are definitely the answer to my chocolate addiction. They are so easy that our 6 year old can make them. These Bliss Balls are also a nut-free snack so they are suitable for kids' lunch boxes too.
Choccy, woccy, yum, yum! I dare you to try to just stick to one serve!
P.S. This recipe is from my wonderful friend, Kim Herman! Enjoy!
Oh yes, as we near the end of another busy school term our exhausted kids and teens become more stressed and more overwhelmed and a hell of a lot less calm and less content ... This in turn means that as mums and dads we often feel less calm and less content and a hell of a lot more stressed and more overwhelmed ourselves!
End-of-term-itis is what I call it and it is quite literally a pain in the neck ... for all concerned.
You see I am a mum to 3 kids & a school teacher. I teach both primary & high school students, so I am surrounded every day by a lot of kids and teens who, at this time of year, are stressed ...
